How do i get a brown cow in farmville?

ive adopted like 10 black sheep in farmville so i know how to get them but i havent ever seen a brown cow in my home section do you get them a different way then u get black sheep?
You must wait till one of your friends that also play the game find one on their farm (It’s like a popup when they are playing). If they decide to “help lost cow” it will post on the “home” page. Just be the first to click that “Adopt Lost Cow” Link!
Think they were discontinued for some reason. I’ve never seen one. They just brought out these “ugly ducklings” recently, so I don’t know if they replace the sheep or are in addition to them. I hope they bring the cows back eventually, because I never got one.
Might be they will keep them as discontinued, so people can show off how long they’ve been playing.
