I was wondering if there is anywhere to find the breed of sheep known as Zwartbles in the us, preferably Tx?

i noticed they’re only for sale in the UK, and wondered if anyone stateside knew if people bred Zwartble sheep. Thanks!

    No, sorry. None have been imported into the USA. They are only available in the UK and a few other parts of Europe, most notably Holland. In case you are curious, that is because it is difficult and in most cases impossible to get authorization to import sheep into the US because of the prevalence of numerous sheep diseases in other countries. I believe present rules only allow sheep to be brought in from Canada, and then only lambs under 1 year old destined for immediate slaughter.
