Knitting pattern help?

Someone gave me this yarn from brown sheep company. It’s worsted weight. It’s 85% wool and 15% mohair. She really liked it so I want to knit her something with it. I need a pattern though. I don’t know if you can felt it because it’s not 100% wool. I found a pattern on knittingatknoon.com for slippers but you have to felt it. So can I use this one???? Do you have a better pattern???
I forgot to mention that I have 2 balls- a purple called elderberry wine and a green called khacki

As long as there is animal hair in the yarn, it will felt, somewhat. The mohair won’t felt as much as the wool but it will felt. You will just have some stitch definition

Brown Sheep yarn is a beautiful yarn to work with and is not something you would normally felt. You can, but it’s such nice yarn I think you should reconsider and make your friend something else. If you only have 1 skien, how about a nice hat? Below are links to a nice cabled beanie and a newsboy cap. Both would work up great with your yarn. You could also do a nice skinny scarf which is popular this year instead of the wide ones.

Have you thought about doing a hat and scarf set? Or maybe some mittens? Knitted slippers sounds like a great idea! You should consider adding a non-slip sole to them though.

Are you familiar with Lion Brand’s website? They have over 2,000 free knitting/crocheting patterns.

Here’s the link to their very helpful Pattern Finder: http://cache.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/patternFinder.fcgi? Just enter what kind of pattern you’re looking for, the size, your skill level, and the yarn you’re working with.

    Best wishes!
