WASHINGTON – As the Obama administration crafts a rescue plan for Detroit’s auto industry, it

must weigh demands from several players pushing to limit how much taxpayer aid gets spent on

vehicles and parts made outside the United States like Automotive Panasonic Radio for 3.5 billion

just this year.

“Buy American” rules played a key role in the debate over the federal stimulus plan and the

financial industry rescue, with many members of Congress calling for barriers to keep aid in the

U.S.

Main reason for Auto failure are due to GM’s Rick Wagner and Chrysler management’s poor decisions

to use foreign suppliers like Panasonic in the Vehicle over American suppliers. GM is preaching

we are American made Vehicle. Then why is GM using Japanese Panasonic Radio in the Vehicles? Why

is now Chrysler choosing to use Panasonic Radio in its Vehicle? It is expected that approximately

1.5 billion revenue from GM to Panasonic and same GM’s radio modified to sold to Chrysler for

another 2 billion this year. So what percentage of American Tax payer bail out are going to Japan

approximately whopping 3.5 billion just this year alone. Why not we just buy Toyota instead of

these cars like wolf in sheep clothing? Now you know the reason for the high unemployment rate in

Michigan. Here GM and Chrysler are close to Bankruptcy while Panasonic is sitting on huge amount

of American Cash. Investor community criticized Panasonic for sitting on too much cash and

outsourcing American jobs to overseas. Panasonic reported some loss only due to purchase expense

of the Sanyo not due to auto loss, there is no real loss for Panasonic. Interesting the only

company Ford that does seek rescue from Taxpayers also does not outsource Automotive Radio

manufacturing to Panasonic.

Most of the jobs are in the parts which come from Japan. Think of a radio. At the assembly plant

a few screws and wires are attached. Most of the jobs are related to the complex internals of the

radio (circuit boards, switches, displays, programming, etc). Even if the radio is assembled by

Panasonic US, the parts are brought over in bulk assemblies with very little work in US. GM

created the market place for Panasonic in America and Chrysler paying more to buy same GM Radio

at GM’s cost. Now with out effort Toyota get to use same technology at the expense of GM and

Chrysler for their vehicle. Foreign supplier like Japanese Panasonic Radio in GM and Chrysler

limits must be made in auto industry rescue plan. Instead more focus should be made to American

made suppliers

Majority of the bailout are indirectly supplied to foreign suppliers like Japan Panasonic in GM

and Chrysler Vehicle for whopping 3.5 billion this year alone. These unjustified contracts are

made due to indirect financial perks to the executive at GM and Chrysler. Now you know the reason

for Panasonic Priority over other suppliers. These contacts must be renegotiated mostly to use

American suppliers.

The Obama administration unveiled a $5 billion plan to help the suppliers of GM and Chrysler LLC,

which would only apply to parts made in the United States. But that plan is limited to direct

suppliers, and the administration has told automakers there were no rules under their federal aid

requiring them to buy a set number of parts from domestic firms.

Though technological advances can be a good thing, sometimes it just seems that the old way may be the best way in some circumstances. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the clothing industry. More people are returning to grass roots by choosing to wear merino wool for much of their clothing needs.

1. Engineered Synthetics Anyone?

Walking into any clothing store these days, and you will be faced with a staggering array of multi-hued, synthetic fabrics. The labels all promise that their fabric is superior in every way for keeping you comfortable, warm or cool. Their promises tell the wearer that they are wearing the most lightweight and flexible fabric that is available on the market. These claims are all well and good, but you cannot recycle synthetic fabrics. When they are destroyed, they often emit noxious fumes that are full of harmful chemicals that pollute the environment, not to mention what your skin may be absorbing by wearing them.

2. Nature’s High Tech Wonder Fabric

Quietly waiting in the wings, confident of its attributes, stands merino wool. Merino wool is made from a natural resource that in “green speak” is sustainable. Modern times have relegated merino wool to the back burner, but consumers are seeing the light about this versatile fabric that can be used in a variety of ways. Nothing gets more natural than wool from a sheep.

3. Super Absorbent and Oh So Soft

Merino wool is soft to the touch and can be found in several different grades. No matter what the grade, you are sure to love the feel of merino wool next to your skin. It is one of nature’s most absorbent products and when woven into clothing, can keep the wearer cooler when sweating, and warmer when chilled, just like it did for the original owners.

As an added bonus, merino wool is said to absorb at least ten times the amount of moisture vapors than synthetics without the wearer feeling wet. Merino wool helps to control odor build-up which synthetic material can’t do, and it repels liquids such as rain to keep you drier longer.

4. Merino Wool is Kind to the Environment

The production of wool versus synthetic fabrics and materials is quite diverse. While synthetic products are made in a factory and use chemicals to create and produce them, wool is grown on the back of a sheep. Sheep are living creatures and when sheep ranches and farms are well planned, can contribute much to the environment rather than steal from it. People are taking notice of the harm that has been done to the environment, and they are discovering the benefits of merino wool once again.

The Many Uses of Merino Wool

The use of merino wool is not just limited to apparel; it is also used for super-soft pillows, blankets, mattress stuffing, as well as a host of other uses. Those who are knitters prize merino woolen yarn to use in all of their projects whether it be gloves, a hat, or a scarf for a loved one to wrap around their neck on a blustery, winter’s day. Merino wool is making a comeback as the first choice for fabric.

Cotton, canvas, and even banana leaves have all been used as based materials for baby blankets throughout the world. There have been many materials used for baby blankets since the dawn of civilization but we will cover the most popular fabrics and methods used today for baby blankets & China babies clothes.

Modern Styles of Fabric:

Chenille

Chenille means caterpillar in French. The Chenille is a style of yarn that can be transformed into different fibers: cotton, rayon, acrylic, wool or silk. Chenille is not a spun yarn. Chenille is made of fine yarns that are woven together and then cut apart through a certain technique that produces the Chenille structure. Popular materials for Chenille are cotton and wool.

Cashmere

Cashmere is a fiber derived from the Cashmere (Kashmir) goat. Cashmere is by far the most popular baby blanket fabric for the affluent. Cashmere provides unparalleled softness and comfort to both mom and baby. Furthermore, Cashmere provides lightweight insulation without the heavy bulk of other fabric. The high moisture content within cashmere also allows insulation to change with the humidity of the air, which keeps the body at a more constant temperature. If you want the best for your baby there is nothing in worldwide production that compares with Cashmere. Although Cashmere is a very fine material it can be made into a variety of patterns.

Fleece

Fleece traditionally has referred to a type of weaving of wool. Fleece is a terminology used today for a modern style of refined polyester. Fleece is very soft, versatile, and moms love them because they are resistant to water. You can find good quality fleece blankets for under $30.

Double Knit

Double Knit blankets are the softest material made from cotton today and is perfect for babies. Moms love Double Knit blankets because they are also durable and machine washable. Double Knit fabric requires a higher stitch count then regular knit fabric.

Flannel

Flannel is a cloth made from wool, wool and cotton, or wool and synthetic fabric. Flannel is a warm fabric yet soft enough that moms would use for their babies. Therefore, Flannel is a popular choice for babies during the winter time or in colder year round environments. The term “Flannel” is often referred to the clothing made from the fabric.

Faux Fur

Faux Fur is a trendy new method of cotton lining that will not shed compared to traditional cotton. Do not be alarmed by the name, Faux Fur is 100% cotton by reputable baby retailers.

Traditional Natural Fabrics:

Cotton

Cotton is one of the most popular natural textiles in the world and is commonly used for both boys and girls materials. Cotton has been used in the world for thousands of years. Cotton is a naturally soft fiber that grows around the seed of the cotton plant, which is grown in the Southern U.S., other subtropical and tropical areas in the world. Cotton is a popular material for baby blankets around the world. As discussed above, different new methods of weaving cotton has led to popular creations such as faux fur which are 100% cotton.

Wool

Wool have been used as far back as 3,000 B.C. and is made from the hairs of sheep. Although other animal hair are used for baby blankets, wool is by far the most popular. There breadth and diversity of wool is very apparent as there are over 40 breeds of sheep worldwide that produces approximately 200 types of wool. Wool is very flexible and can be used to produce other items such as fleece. The largest producers are Australia, New Zealand, the United States, China, Argentina and South Africa. Wool is very popular today for baby blankets, especially in the Northeast and the Central U.S. states.

Silk

Made from the fine threads produced by Silk moth larvae, silk was believed to be have discovered by a Chinese Princess. Silk is considered to have the smoothest texture and feel for baby blankets. Silk also is the most reflective of the different fabrics. The top two producers of silk today are China and Japan. Silk is extremely light weight and one of the best materials at retaining body termperature. Because of these qualities silk is a highly prized fabric in Asia for baby blankets. Up until recently only the most affluent class can afford such a fine baby blanket.

Flax

Flax is considered the oldest known textile used for blankets and clothing garments. Made out of natural fiber, Flax has been used since 5,000 B.C. It has been found in the tombs of Egyptian pharaohs. The major producers today are Russia, German, Belgium, France, Poland, and other Eastern European countries.

Cotton, canvas, and even banana leaves have all been used as based materials for baby blankets throughout the world. There have been many materials used for baby blankets since the dawn of civilization but we will cover the most popular fabrics and methods used today for baby blankets.

You would think that with everything I have been through in life that I would be better prepared but You open an envelope, see the money and only skim the letter that accompanies it. This is why even today a lot of people still become victims to this. I have no doubts that somebody is laughing at me now as I write this.

My wife and myself were victims to something like this about 4 years ago. We ended up losing everything including 3 years of our lives. Because of what happened my wife is now a member of a non profit designed to help victims and educate people. The organization is Fraudaid. Back then we had done everything that a responsible merchant knows to do and we still lost everything and I spent some time in jail because of it and then when I finally got out it was on house arrest.

This time the cashiers check looked as authentic as a hundred dollar bill. Scammers will buy check stock from an employee of a bank and then the work begins. Used to be done on typewriters but now they have laser printers and a lot of professional equipment.. The letter that came with the check said I was being paid for my research which is something, coincidentally, that I do on a regular basis. It’s like those phishing email you get which is addressed to all Chase banking customers. They figure its all a numbers game and that some of the recipients will actually be Chase account holders.

Americans are probably the ones that most fall for these scams I’m sorry to say. We are always looking for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. For something better. A Great many of the problems that America has each year is because of our lack of honesty. We pitch out America land of the free and we have a lot of immigration problems because of this. If instead we showed everybody what life is actually like in America there would be a lot of former border patrol people looking for new jobs..

If the medical companies only created cures for illnesses then they would eventually be out of business. Have you ever noticed that the medicine you take for something cures that something but creates other problems? These drug manufactures are far from stupid. It’s like what HP discovered with their printers, the money is not in the sale of the printer but in the cartridges and service.

20 years ago I used to sell cars and the intro models started at under $10,000. 20 years later the pricing is practically the same. You would think that with inflation you would not be able to buy some basic car for less than maybe $50,000. Look at how cheap computers are priced these days. The money is not in the sale of the computers but in the service and the sale of accessories for the computers.

A pack of cigarettes has definitely gone up in price due to inflation. You could probably buy them a hundred years ago for a lot less than one dollar but look at how much they cost today. Same with a cup of coffee, bottled water, a burger at McDonalds. Inflation has even affected people like bank robbers. 100 years ago they would maybe steal a few thousand dollars and it was a major heist. The days it has to be over lets say $100,000 to even make the news.

The cashiers check that I received was less than $3000 but I had planned on using about $2,000 to pay off some bills that needed to be taken care of. None of this money was planned on being used for me to get out of this country or buy a big TV entertainment center. I thought that maybe my luck was starting to change, that the law of attraction was finally starting to work for me. Well all bubbles have to burst some day, mine just burst a lot faster.

If you work with contact center performance, you by now recognize that one of the most important elements of a call center is your telecommunications system. It’s also crucial for your telecommunications system to work with enhanced applied science, making full use of both applications and hardware devices, including brand new or old Dialogic boards and cards.

The Dialogic boards are an superb choice for a assortment of programs from Internet protocol contact centers to controlling, high-density Internet protocol (IP)-empowered improved solutions systems. By introducing these boards with Dialogic NaturalAccess™ Software, developers can make either Internet protocol (IP)-only or combined Time-division multiplexing-Internet protocol services on a single system.

The word unscrupulous does not go far enough to describe those who seek to gain by others’ misfortune or bad luck; we have to add words like devious, deceitful, cunning, and not least of all merciless and cruel.

Predators

For this is the world of praying on the innocent and unsuspecting; and worse even, perpetrating fraud in the guise of help. What, indeed, could be more contemptible?

This is the world where the weary online buyer-well read by now about online auction frauds and false promises-to safeguard his money turns to an online escrow service to make sure that he receives and approves the merchandise before his funds are released to the seller.

He Googles “Online Escrow” and is met with a host of sites, one seeming more legitimate than the next. He reads the “about us” carefully, and as much of the fine print as he has time or mind to absorb. Finally settles on one: Integrity Escrow.

He establishes an account, and his email is verified by the site, over a secure https link. So far so good. Seeing the https and the little security symbol in his browser makes him feel warm and fuzzy.

He then provides the details of the transaction, and, as a final step, deposits the purchase amount-in this case $3,500-in his newly established escrow account.

And that, as the saying goes, was the last he saw of that money.

Impersonating the Solution

Turns out Integrity Escrow was nothing but a slick impersonation of a bona fide escrow company, established-normally in China, Russia, or the former Eastern EU-for the sole purpose of stealing your money while pretending to do the exact opposite, i.e., preventing theft.

Did I say unscrupulous? Yes, it is a step down from out and out theft; it is stealing in the guise of helping.

Unfortunately, online escrow fraud is escalating, due to factors such as:

Online identity/credit-card theft The Anonymity of the Internet A lamentable lack of public awareness about fraudulent escrow sites Web hosting companies that allow fraudulent escrow sites to be created with stolen credit cards, and then allow them to remain on their service even after they have been reported.

To this I would add an increasing number of tech savvy criminals with zero concern for their fellow man.

How Do They Do It?

Luckily-for the Fake Escrow Detective-those who set up fraudulent escrow sites are, as a rule, lazy people, who wouldn’t (probably couldn’t) create original copy if their lives depended on it. No, too much work.

Lazy people normally resort to templates, made to order scam sites (which abound as well) where they go to download a respectable site. As for trust-inducing copy, few sites are better than bona fide online escrows, which is where they go for the words.

Voila: A new online escrow site.

The Detectives

The fraudulent online escrow detectives have seen this all before, and many, many times. They recognize the templates; they recognize the words.

And so they should, because those words are normally stolen from their own sites-these private eyes are normally employed by the bona fide escrow companies to search out, track and close down as many fraudulent sites as possible.

The Hunt

I asked one of these detectives, Brandon Abbey at Escrow.com, how they find out about the fraudulent sites.

“There are a couple of ways we hunt down the fraud sites,” he said.

“Quite often someone calls our customer support department to inquire about a particular site. In this case, the site is reviewed and if fraudulent a notice is sent to the hosting company.

“The note to the hosting company is a request for them to review the site giving consideration to their Terms of Service (TOS) and Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), and it usually results in the takedown of the site.

“Some hosting companies, however, take the stance that they are not responsible for the content on their servers regardless of what it is. There are specific laws that address certain things like child pornography but nothing we can point to regarding the escrow fraud.”

What if nobody calls you? I wondered. How do you track them down?

“Often we Google a word-string (phrases) taken from our own site, and you’d be surprised how often we get hits. This means we’ve found a fraudulent site which came to us for the copy.

“Now, when we find a fraudulent copy of our site we can send a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notification to the ISP and that usually works.

“The main problem is that the ISPs are afraid of someone suing them for shutting down a site. The reality is no one has ever been sued by a Romanian scammer.

“We have also built a library of templates, which we can track down; as well as a library of phrases that we Google.

“On a good day (or bad day, depending on viewpoint) some of these searches will come return over a hundred matches. We then inspect each site to see if it is legitimate. If suspicions we forward the notice to the hosting company asking for a TOS and AUP review.

“As you can imagine some hosting companies are better than others. Generally, hosting companies in the US are very responsive.

“Xinnet, on the other hand, a hosting company in China, has supported some of the scam sites for months at a time.”

Valuable Advice

How can, I wondered, the average Internet user protect him- or herself against online escrow fraud?

“Of course,” said my detective, “it is important that people do research on these site before ever sending money or merchandise. In fact, I suggest doing a WHOIS search on the domain. This way you can discover how long the site has been up, where it is being hosted, how many times the site has been taken down. These are clues.

“If it smells fishy at all to you, go elsewhere.”

Safeguard Your Money

It is your money. Handing it over to a cyber criminal probably has not yet made it onto your top-ten list of what to do with it.

There are many great deals online. There are many great auction houses online. There are bona fide online escrow sites, but nowhere near as many as there are fraudulent ones.

Do all the online research you can. When you have found a site that seems legitimate, you can do one of several things:

Firstly, while fraudulent sites can buy the necessary certificate to make it a secure site, they seldom do; Secondly, you can check at escrow-fraud.com to see if the site you have decided on is listed as a fraudulent site by them; they also maintain a list of bona fide sites; Thirdly, you can call the site’s customer service department to make sure they are based in the United States. If you have any doubts about that, ask them to call you back, and check the caller ID-if it’s an international call, beware. Also, if the site does not have a customer service department, again, beware; Once you know that you’re talking to a U.S. based service department, ask any questions you can think of to ensure they are legitimate, such as which bank are they using for their escrow accounts, and who is their main contact at that bank (whom you can then call to verify that this online escrow company does in deed have an escrow account there); If the answer is a well-known American bank, and if the customer service rep can supply contact information at the bank, you are 99% there. Then, if you want to reach 100%, make that final call to the bank to rule out any vestige of doubt.

Now you have found an online escrow company you can trust.

Enjoy your purchase.

PS. Escrow.com is an online escrow company you can trust.
