Could I use my own lamb’s wool for padding in pointe shoes?

I own a sheep farm, and I was wondering if I could use the lamb’s wool I have at home to pad my pointe shoes. If I wash and card it (making it soft and cushy, not matted and stiff), would this be safe? Or do I have to buy wool from a dance supply [...]
