Will Americans hold Barack Obama to his word about taxes like they did George H.W. Bush?

A promise to simply not raise income taxes is like a promise to not hit you on the medial side of the left knee: if it makes you feel secure, you’re crazy. With all the hidden taxes in existence – there are taxes on gasoline, phone bills, airline tickets and a multitude of things we’re not even aware of – the government can fleece us like sheep in springtime without ever touching the income-tax rate. Thus, when Obama boasts of being a tax cutter, he is simply weaving a nice-sounding election-year yarn.
There is absolutely no question that these hidden taxes will be raised. How do I know? Because the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior, and this is what leftists do. Moreover, how do you think Obama will fund the laundry list of federal programs he will foist upon us? Believe me, he won’t be cutting government or taxes, only the size of your wallet.
Regardless of whom you support, however, all citizens should understand we’re being played for fools. When a politician – any politician – casts himself as a tax cutter but only discusses income-tax policy, it’s simply election-time artifice. He is banking on the ignorance of the masses, knowing that he can promise to not touch a hair on their head and that they will never think that he said nothing about the head itself.

Obama is closer to reality.
Mccains plan is not sustainable. His plan calls for bigger deficits and passing it on to our younger generation in the form of HUGE DEBT to china and the dollar worth only 20% of its current value.
The euphoria over Mccains plan is really just greedy people living in the now and not giving a crap about this nation.
Obama’s plan admits that taxes go up, back to Clinton era levels for the wealthy, but the middle class will get an even larger tax cut than did under bush or mccain.
And people then spend it and everyone profits. Its proven to work.
Giving a few bucks to the middle class so they can make ONE house payment a year and then giving nearly a Million bucks to the Rich so they can buy another home in the carribean is proven not to work.

Write your Congressman. Congress will ultimately craft the next budget and legislation to fund it.
Which is why we should vote for Saxby Chambliss. I support a 24% sales tax, because that means we will be getting our FULL pay checks and for some, lottery money. If you only get what you NEED, then you won’t have to worry about fussing with the sales tax.
The media won’t so the people wil be fooled.

When gas prices were so high it was “because of Bush” So how come nobody says anything now that they are down? Barry knows darn well he will raise taxes,everyday he changes the income of a “rich” person.Then watch your taxes on everything go up so high that you can’t even afford to live anymore,while welfare becomes the norm. I hope people realize that presidents are just illusions, distractions if you will; that keep us from realizing that laws and money are useless! Get rid of government! Get rid of money.
